I’m about to blow up over this whole economy. And, really, I’m pissed about the election and finally am writing about it. Everyone wanted change, well, no matter who is president, this is going to be a tough term. The whole economy is in turmoil and hopefully Obama can change that. I’m not so sure, but I would love to be proven wrong. Jobs are few and far between, which sucks too. Basically, things are just bad now.

Still have the duplex….looks like I missed my opportunity to sell it! Oh well we’ll rent the unit I’m living in and live in her house til things blow over.
Brett here - Have this opportunity to move into administration in another school. Thinking about it but not sure if it’s a good fit.
Like to teach and like the direct interaction with the students. Why are these choices so hard?
Bought a new car….. a shiny new dodge truck …. my first new car. pretty cool!!
Brett here - been a while since I posted. I have been busy I guess….holidays have ome and gone and we are well into a new year.
I’m wondering if I should sell my duplex and trade up. Real estate seems to be slowing a little…… though I’m not certain.
Been having thoughts about maybe asking my girl friend to marry me. She’s putting the pressure on after 6 years? WTF

Brett here - Summer is almost here and I’m looking forward.
As a teacher I will have a good long chunk of time off. I plan on spending it outdoors hiking, camping etc.
I have some projects around the duplex like painting, building a fence. Nothing too involved just simple projects that don’t involve a whole lot of thought.
Brett here - looking forward to traveling home to see the family for the xmas holiday.
Our family has always been close….not much drama in the family get togethers around our house.
There’s of course the uncle that over imbibes and acts a little foolish but that seems to be the extent of it.
I hate to travel….. fly that is. Airport security is painful and takes so dam long to get thru… takes off your shoes, check the fluids, etc etc etc. What a pain.
Brett here- So my duplex deal is going ok.
I don’t like sharing a wall with someone and especially a tenant. I can’t wait for two years to be up so I can sell this and buy something else.
Being a landlord isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
Went ahead with my purchase.
Killer deal….no money down walked away with money at closing and already have a good tenant.

Brett here…… I’m thinking about investing in some real estate.
A duplex that I could live in one side and rent the other. The rent could cover a large part of my mortgage and sems as though the market is good right now. Easy to get a loan right now.
I think I just talked myself into it.
